Ritrovo
Chi tratta i dati
Quali dati trattiamo
- Posizione: solo quando tocchi «Vicino a me» o «La mia posizione», mai in background.
- I tuoi dati restano finché hai l'account.
I tuoi diritti
Privacy policy
Ritrovo is an app to save links, notes and places to find again, on your own or in shared collections. This page explains which data we process, why, who we share it with and how you can manage it.
Who processes the data
The data controller is Simone Marchica, operating under the name Tackora. For any privacy question write to support.ritrovo@tackora.it.
Which data we process
- Account: name, email address and profile picture received from the service you sign in with (Google or Facebook), plus a technical identifier of that sign-in.
- Tackora account with email and password: the email address, the name you choose and the password, which we never keep: we store only a fingerprint (PBKDF2 hash) used to check it. To confirm the address or change the password we send you a link valid for 24 hours or one hour; we keep only its fingerprint. If the email is already confirmed with Google or Facebook, both sign-ins open the same account.
- What you save: links, titles, descriptions, previews, notes, tags, categories, collections, places with their coordinates and the photos you upload.
- Shared collections: the people in a collection see your name, your profile picture and the items you put in it, never your notes. If you invite someone by email, the address is only used to find their Ritrovo account and is not kept on the server (the phone remembers it among the “Recent” people).
- Contacts: only if you tap “From contacts” and allow it. To know which contacts use Ritrovo the app sends an encrypted fingerprint (SHA-256 hash) of their emails and phone numbers, which the server compares with those of the accounts and does not keep; names and numbers stay on the phone. People who find you see the name of your account. In the same way, people with your email in their contacts can see that you use Ritrovo: you can turn it off in Settings → Privacy → “Let contacts find me”.
- Phone number: optional, only if you enter it in Settings → Privacy, so that people with your number in their contacts find you. It is not verified nor used for anything else; you can remove it at any time.
- Location: only when you tap “Near me” or “My position”, never in the background. “Near me” stays on the phone; “My position” sends the coordinates to our server only to look up the address.
- Import from Google My Maps: only if you use it, from the web version. Google asks your permission to give Ritrovo access only to the files you choose in its window (“drive.file” permission): Ritrovo does not see the other files of your Google Drive. To read a chosen map your browser opens it to anyone with the link for a few seconds, our server downloads the names, descriptions, layers and coordinates of its pins, and the browser puts the sharing back as it was at once. The map becomes a collection with its links; the Google permission is not kept on the server and you can revoke it from your Google account.
- Notifications: if you allow them, an identifier of the phone (token) to send you alerts about invites and shared collections.
- Preferences: language, theme, order of the categories, pinned collections and notification choices, so every phone of yours shows the same app.
- Technical data: IP address and time of the requests to the server, for security and to fix problems; the app version and platform you last used, to know how many people use an old version and ask them to update it when it is no longer supported. If the app crashes, a report with the error, the phone model and the Android and app versions; never your content.
- Days of use: for each account we record the days you use the app and an estimate of the time of use (in 5-minute blocks, no times of day). Only the administrator sees them, for support and to understand how to improve the app, and we keep them for 13 months or until the account is deleted.
To understand how Ritrovo is used and improve it we also compute aggregate statistics (for example how many collections or categories exist, how many invitations are accepted) from the data above, without storing them: they are overall numbers that show none of your content. Apart from these numbers, the only usage data linked to your account are the days of use described above.
We do not sell your data, show ads or build profiles.
Why and on which legal basis
- To provide the service you asked for (account, saving, sync, sharing): performance of a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
- To keep the service secure and fix errors (logs and crash reports): legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
- For the aggregate statistics, the days of use (support and improving the app) and to ask you to update versions that are no longer supported: legitimate interest in improving and maintaining the service, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
- Notifications and location: only with your permission, which you can withdraw at any time in the phone settings.
Who we share it with
Only with the providers Ritrovo needs to work, each for its own part:
- Netsons s.r.l. (Milan, Italy): the server that runs the app and the database.
- Google: Google sign-in; Firebase Cloud Messaging for notifications; Firebase Crashlytics for crash reports; YouTube Data API to read the title and preview of the videos you save; Google Drive and Google My Maps to import the maps you choose, if you use the import.
- OpenStreetMap (public Overpass service): when you prepare a trip with mountain places, our server asks for altitude, trails and car parks around those points. It receives only the coordinates of the places, never data that identifies you.
- Geoapify (KEPTAGO LTD, Cyprus): maps, address search and, for trips, the routes by car and on foot between the places (it receives only coordinates). What you search goes through our server; the map images are downloaded by the phone itself, so Geoapify sees the phone's IP address and the area you look at.
- Resend: sending the email when someone invites you to a collection and the emails of the Tackora account (address confirmation, new password).
- Anthropic: only if you use the artificial intelligence features, when they are active; it receives the text of the item to analyze, never data that identifies you.
To read the preview of a link, our server visits the page without cookies: the site sees the server's IP, not yours. For Instagram, Facebook and TikTok posts your phone reads the public preview, like a messaging app does, and sends it to Ritrovo.
Some providers may process data outside the European Union. In that case the transfer relies on the safeguards of Articles 44 and following of the GDPR offered by each provider.
How long
- Your data stays as long as you have the account.
- The days of use (with the estimated time of use) stay 13 months: older ones are deleted automatically every day.
- An email-and-password account never confirmed stays only as a pending request, with no content; a new registration with the same email replaces it.
- When you delete an item, its content is erased at once; only a technical mark without content remains, to keep your other phones in line.
- You can delete your Ritrovo data or the whole Tackora account in Settings → Delete account or data or on the page account.tackora.it/elimina. The deletion becomes final 25 days after the request and in the meantime you can cancel it (link in the confirmation email or on the same page). If you delete the whole account, the sessions are closed when you ask and the account can no longer be used; after the 25 days we erase for good the account and everything in it, including the collections you own.
- Database backups are replaced by newer ones; deleted data may remain in them for a limited time, until the backup is replaced.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or erase your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a readable format. In the app you can already edit everything you saved, download your data (Settings → Export my data) and delete the account. For anything else write to support.ritrovo@tackora.it. You can also lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority (garanteprivacy.it) or the one of your country.
Children
Ritrovo is not meant for people under 14.
Cookies and statistics
The site ritrovo.tackora.it uses no cookies or third-party tracking tools. To know how many people visit the public pages and open the app we count visits anonymously: the page, the button tapped, where the visit comes from (the referring site or the campaign named in the link), the kind of device and the language of the browser. The IP address is not stored: together with the browser it only makes a code that changes every day, so the same visit is not counted twice. Nothing is written on your device and the counts are not linked to your account. We keep them about 13 months.
Changes
If we change this policy we update the date at the top; for important changes we tell you in the app.
